A former working farm, becoming something new
Thistle and Slate Farm sits on 19 acres of central Kentucky countryside — rolling fields, native meadows, and the quiet that only comes from land that has been tended for generations. It was a working farm, and that history is still written into the soil.
We are slowly transforming it into a wedding destination. Right now the land itself is the venue — open fields, natural light, and the kind of backdrop that no building can manufacture. We host ceremonies and celebrations in the open air, surrounded by thistles, slate stone, and the Kentucky sky.

Open air, open heart
Our open-field format means your ceremony is shaped by the land, the season, and the light — not by a floor plan. Wildflowers in July, golden grasses in September, the quiet of a Kentucky morning at any time of year.
We work with each couple to understand what they need and help them make the most of the natural setting. Tent rentals, vendor coordination, and site walkthroughs are all available.
